I played Ella and Karl’s wedding here and the venue absolutely delivered. Lush green valley views, that classic Southern Highlands charm, and a relaxed elegance that makes every wedding feel genuinely special. If you’re considering Wildwood, you’ve got great taste.

What I’ve learned playing there

Wildwood has a natural, organic feel that informs everything about how I approach the night. This isn’t a slick city ballroom — it’s a venue with soul. I pitch my energy accordingly, letting the room breathe early and building gradually toward a dancefloor that feels earned rather than forced.

Couples who choose Kangaroo Valley are usually after something meaningful over something flashy. That suits me perfectly. I put serious thought into the music journey for venues like this — from ceremony through to last song.

Music considerations

Southern Highlands crowds reward good taste. I find these receptions respond beautifully to a mix of timeless classics, indie-folk during dinner, and a dancefloor that works its way through feel-good anthems without ever feeling cheesy. The goal is always the same — every guest on the floor by 9pm and nobody wanting to leave at midnight.

Getting there

Wildwood is roughly 2 hours from Sydney CBD via the Illawarra Highway. Travel costs apply at $2/km return beyond 25km from the CBD. For late-finish events I’m happy to discuss accommodation arrangements so there’s no compromise on how long the party runs.
